Installing Printers for Faculty

  1. Go to http://byulaw.printercloud.com

  2. The website may prompt you to install a browser extension and a client. Install both. You will need to refresh your page after you install each one.

  3. Sign in through your BYU Law account.

If no printers are showing up, click the account icon in the top right and log out. Then try logging in again through the BYU Law Login.

4. All of the faculty printers should be available for you to see. Pick whichever ones you need and click to install them.

5. You will then need to log into the client. To do this, find the icon that looks like either of the pictures below. For Mac it will be in the top right and Windows will be the bottom right when you click the carat ^ icon.

  1. If you are on a Mac and installing an HP or Sharp Printer. You will need to follow special instruction in order to get a cover page for your prints. You can tell if a printer is an HP one if it has HP after the room number of the printer. Ex. Library Faculty (274) HP LaserJet 4250

  2. Once you download the printer press command+p or navigate to File in the top left and select Print… and it will open up a printing page like the one below.

3. Click on More settings and then Print using system dialog…

4. Make sure that the printer at the top is the printer that you want to add the cover page to. Click on

Layout about halfway down the window and then select Cover Page.

5. Select to put the Cover page before the document.

6. Click on the Presets: option. It will most likely say Default Settings. When you select it, choose to Save Current Settings as Preset… You should set it to be just this printer’s preset.
